Brooklyn’s Greenpoint is the trendy NYC neighborhood right now. Granted, the title of the trendiest neighborhood in the city seems to change far more often than the four seasons, but for right now, it really is.
It’s not surprising, really. Greenpoint is handsomely located in Brooklyn, forming a triangle with the two also very trendy neighborhoods of Bushwick and Williamsburg. The slightly gritty nature of Greenpoint is almost tailor-made for furiously filtered instagram pics showing off some of the great brunch restaurants and artisanal jam shops and speakeasy cocktail bars of the area.
I explored the neighborhood with two close friends of mine, who live nearby and are devoted advocates of Greenpoint. They showed me around all the best spots, including a very boozy brunch at the wonderful Milk & Roses and some of the best donuts in the entire city from Peter Pan Donuts.
