Toronto’s Graffiti Alley

Many parts of Toronto feel overtaken with colorful street art. Since all good art is somewhat controversial, some think of that as a negative. I personally love to see street art breathing a bit of life into all the concrete and brick.

One particularly rich collection of graffiti can be found just off the trendy Queen Street West. The aptly named Graffiti Alley is a great example of a hollow and meaningless cityscape turned into an energetic and visceral place, alive and ever changing.

Running between Spadina Avenue and Portland Street, Graffiti Alley offers an explosion of urban art
